The role:

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in our Carterton practice.

The ideal candidate should be confident, with 2 years' small animal veterinary experience.

You must have a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop these branches further.

The successful candidate will be working in an environment where colleagues support you, by sharing skills and knowledge to give our patients the best outcomes. You will experience a varied caseload at each of our lovely practices. 

This role covers 39 hours over a 4 day week, providing a great work life balance. This includes 1:3 half weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) or 1:6 full weekends.

Salary & Benefits:

A very competitive package of up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Skills and experience:

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.

Our friendly team of vets in Carterton, led by Veterinary Surgeon Wilhelm Knobel, are dedicated to providing you and your pet with the highest standard of care.

The practice provides a wide range of services for its patients, including dentistry, x-rays and ultrasound. It boasts separate cat and dog wards and is supported by Medivet 24 Hour Woodstock for out-of-hours patient care.
