Reports to:  Head of Internal Medicine

Develop your career with DWR and be part of something special!

DWR is a busy and expanding state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral-only practice based near to Cambridge / Newmarket, UK.
With a large, varied and exciting Internal Medicine caseload, we are
seeking two further colleagues to join our ECVIM-CA Residency-training programme in January 2021.

The successful candidates will work as part of our 6 Resident team and receive direct training and supervision from our 8 RCVS/ECVIM-CA/ACVIM Recognised Specialists in Internal Medicine. The successful applicant will join a team of Specialist Veterinary Clinicians, Residents and Interns who provide our services in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care, Physiotherapy and Clinical Pathology.

The Residency programme will be for a period of 3 years depending on progress (reviewed after 6 months and then annually) and is formally approved by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA); the intention being that the Resident will sit the ECVIM-CA Diploma examinations at the end of their training period.

Applicants must be either a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or hold a veterinary degree qualifying them for membership. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years’ relevant post graduate veterinary clinical experience, have completed a Rotating Internship programme and hold a UK valid, current driving licence.

As you would expect from the UK’s largest private veterinary referral hospital, we offer an inspiring and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an attractive benefits package.

If you share our passion for delivering excellence, trust and care then we would love to hear from you.

For more information or to make an application, please email your CV and covering letter outlining your suitability for the role to Simon Tappin via the apply button.

The closing date for applications is Friday 6th November 2020 and we will require short-listed candidates to attend interviews during the week commencing 16th November 2020.
