Then join our friendly, enthusiastic, proudly independent, XL Vets practice in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.  We have a great team of 13 farm vets, 4 TB testers, Vet techs and supportive office staff operating out of a single, purpose built site.

We work with over 120 dairy clients (plus plenty of beef, sheep and smallholdings) providing them with dedication and excellence through routine visits and herd health work.  The successful candidate will be good at working alongside these farmers forming long lasting, trusting relationships.  We want someone who is personable, communicates well and has a strong work ethic.

We are a friendly group of vets that enjoy a good out of hours rota of 1 in 8 first on call.  We work a 4.5 day week or a 9 day fortnight.  We offer all the kit you’d expect plus specialist equipment and required training.

The practice is continually striving to progress and develop its services; we currently have three certificate holders as well as vets carrying out specialist referral work,  training courses, and working with industry. We fully encourage and support those wishing to do the same.
