Exciting opportunity for Veterinary Ophthalmologist in Cornwall
Rosemullion Vets is a professional, forward looking first opinion and multidisciplinary referral practice situated in the South West of Cornwall. We take ophthalmology referrals from throughout Cornwall and further afield. One of our Ophthalmologists is planning to reduce his hours next year.
We are looking for someone to join the team to pick these hours and work alongside him and our other Ophthalmologists as we expand our service. We are excited to be about to start to build then move to a purpose built 7 Cons Room / 3 Operating Theatre hospital in Falmouth with on site CT and visiting MRI.
Our Hospital in Falmouth will be your main base, and you will also to do clinics and minor procedures in our branch in Helston.
The ophthalmology service is well equipped with a Zeiss Visu operating microscope for microsurgical and intraocular procedures, Vizual AOI Phacoemulsification and Retiport ERG and supported by a team of experienced nurses. Other referral disciplines include orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, cardiorespiratory medicine and advanced clinical imaging. The service is well supported by our first opinion vets and nurses providing 7 day and overnight care for in-patients.
Ideally we are looking for an experienced ophthalmologist of advanced practitioner standard or above to apply for this position, however if you are enrolled in a training programme you would be considered and support for further development will be given.
Personal development and expansion of skills is encouraged and supported alongside an excellent remuneration package. Applicants looking for full or part time positions will be considered on an equal basis.
Why not make that career change and combine Ophthalmology working with Cornish living; surrounded by areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a fascinating maritime heritage, world class water-sports in a university town with a modern creative buzz?
