Job Details

Our client with practices across Worcestershire and Warwickshire are looking for a full time small animal vet.

The vacancy is open to both part-time or full-time canddiates, and depending on your preferred hours will depend on the branches you will be based at. Full time role be working a 4 day week with no OOH and 1 in 4 weekends.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with the ability to provide excellent clinical care to patients and the ability to work up cases to a high standard. You must be happy to work both independently and as part of a team.

These RCVS accredited practices are equipped with a full range of diagnostic equipment. All branches have ultrasound, haematology & biochemistry blood machines and digital x-ray allowing thorough work ups. Dental x-ray, ECG, tonometry and slit lamp are also available.

This is a forward thinking, progressive practice (with some exciting plans for their Warwickshire branches in 2020). You’ll be supported by 2 AVPs (Cert SAO & Cert SAS) and they have vets currently studying towards certificates in medicine, cardiology, imaging and ECC which makes for an excellent team with diverse interests. Not forgetting the friendly team of excellent RVNs in every branch.

The main branch in Worcester has an established orthopaedic referral service as well as CT scanner, laparoscopic surgery and hydrotherapy unit. Anyone not keen on eyes or skin can refer to our visiting ophthalmologist or dermatologist.

Applications are welcome from both confident recently graduated vets looking for a supportive practice with clinical freedom through to more senior vets looking for increased responsibilities such as taking responsibility of a branch or being involved in the management of Severn Vets and progressing to a CD role.

Candidates will need to be competent in routine consultations and surgery. There will be some sole charge with this role.
Any specialist interests will be welcomed and supported.
RCVS and VDS fees paid. 5 days paid CPD and support for certificate studies. Healthshield cover and pension provided. Competitive salary dependant on experience
