Surgery Information / Job Description

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our thriving small animal surgery in Basildon Pitsea!

We are conveniently based at the busy Old Market Retail Park just off the A13 and benefit from free on-site parking, easy access to the M25, 20 minutes from the seaside and direct trains into London and Southend.

You will find us to be a friendly, cheerful and progressive practice and the team consists of 9 vets, 9 RVNs, 6 student nurses and 8 client care advisors. We have state of the art equipment including ultrasound and endoscope and we were the first 1st opinion practice in Essex to get a CT scanner. Due to our 24/7 service offering, it means we retain all of our cases in house allowing you to see cases through to completion

Person Specification

We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have built with our clients and patients and we are looking for a personable Vet who is passionate about providing an excellent service. You will need to be confident with routine surgery and medicine.

This is a Full Time role covering 40 hours per week and will include a weekend rota of only 1 in 6! There will be very minimal sole charge responsibility (around 5 times a year), so we hope you would be comfortable and confident with this.
