Small Animal Vet required in Manchester – No OOH!

Beech House is a modern, small animal veterinary practice on the outskirts of Radcliffe and Little Lever. We provide an excellent service to our clients and offer an excellent work/life balance to our staff.

We provide first opinion clinics to the surrounding areas, as well as preventative healthcare and more specialised surgeries in soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. You would have access to the following equipment - a digital X-ray machine, imaging suite, high-end ultrasound machine, endoscopy, electrocautery, purpose built theatres, 2 prep areas plus the latest dental equipment, all enabling you to work cases up to the highest level. You would have the opportunity to see cases through, beginning to end, even if they were referred elsewhere, as we offer the flexibility to follow your cases to the internal referral centres, to provide continuity of care and to enhance your own professional development.

The team is led by an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery.  You would have access to our sister practice certificate holders in medicine and ophthalmology and the opportunity to spend time learning keyhole laparoscopic surgery.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' post graduate experience and be confident with routine surgical procedures and work to excellent clinical standards.  This is a full-time position based at Beech House Veterinary Surgery in Radcliffe, Manchester and you will work a 4-day week (40 hours) with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and no OOH's.

In return, you will receive:

  • A competitive salary
  • RCVS and VDS fees covered
  • Industry leading Maternity/Paternity/Adoption leave benefit of 10 weeks full and 10 weeks half pay
  • Up to 7 weeks annual leave with our buy & sell holiday scheme
  • Pension Scheme
  • Generous CPD allowance/certificate funding
  • Employee Assistance Programme - our people are our strongest asset
  • Discounted staff pet care plan
  • Long service staff awards from 5 years offering additional annual leave
  • Perkbox, offering a variety of staff discounts for retail and entertainment venues across the county
  • Other benefits include cycle to work scheme/reduced gym membership/pension/Sharesave and others...
