Mixed Veterinary Surgeon

Mixed Veterinary Surgeon required at Woodside Veterinary Group - Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

The Role

This role will involve working a four-day week and equally shared out of hours rota creates a good work life balance. A broad spectrum of mixed practice work is carried out, the opportunity to develop niche roles within the team exists depending on individual interests. The workload ranges from routine farm work to smallholders with a smattering of equine work. OV qualifications would be an advantage, although there is minimal TB testing in 4-year parishes.

About Us

Woodside Veterinary Group is a mixed practice serving traditional beef and sheep farms and providing care for family pets across 3 sites on Royal Deeside Aberdeenshire. We have a friendly team of nurses and reception staff make for a happy place to work. You will be based mid-way between the attractions of Aberdeen and the Cairngorms with all both have to offer on your doorstep. We have all the usual equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, and in-house lab equipment is available.

Applicant Requirements

Retirement of a senior clinical director creates a vacancy for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon. There will be the opportunity to develop your role within the team and progression to Clinical Director would be the goal. Good communication skills are required as the role will include the mentoring of younger members of staff.
