An exciting opportunity has arisen at Maldon Vets4Pets for a veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team on a permanent basis! Our practice is growing rapidly, providing an interesting and varied case load with lots of surgical opportunities.

You will be joining a lovely onsite team made up of 4 Vets, 3 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s, a Practice Manager/RVN, and 5 Receptionists. We hold a variety of interests within the team including soft tissue surgery, small furries and feline and canine medicine. We welcome vets who have their own area of interest and we provide lots of CPD and support.

We are a busy practice based inside a busy Pets at Home store at Wycke Business Park, just a short 15 minute drive from Chelmsford, offering lots of free onsite parking. Our practice is purpose built with state of the art equipment such as digital X-ray, ultrasound and in house lab facilities.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be an experienced vet, confident in ultrasound, consulting and all routine surgical and medical cases, however we can consider recent graduates who have a keen interest in these areas and are keen to learn.

This is a full time role made up of 4 days per week covering 9am-7pm. Part time hours can be considered, but both rotas will include a weekend rota of 1 in 4. There is no OOH responsibility with this role to encourage work life balance. Weekends are sole charge.
