An opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon to join the team in this rapidly growing training accredited surgery. The practice is located in the rapidly expanding yet traditional seaside town of Thornton-Cleveleys, just a few miles from Blackpool and offers great access to much of the northwest of England.

The role can be altered to accommodate either part time or full time.

The continued expansion and aspirations of the happy team means that the getting the right person who compliments the practice is most important. The role includes 1 in 4 Saturday’s - but is compensated by a 4 day week. There is no OOH although stable inpatients may occasionally be kept overnight

The team and practice play an active role in the community and customer feedback is excellent. They pride themselves in being more than ‘just a vets’. There are monthly client events both social and educational.

Consults are 20 minutes as standard, ensuring they provide a comprehensive overview and allows for more rapid case workups and/or more involved case discussion with clients. This is very unique to the Cleveleys practice.

The bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including dedicated operating theatre, digital X-ray/in-house laboratory/ultrasound and dentistry facilities.

Personal development is actively encouraged and the practice is willing to invest in you and equipment to develop any specialist areas of interest

Person Specification

Full support is available for those who have recently graduated or need help with confidence in developing their skills.
