OOH Veterinary Surgeon

MiNightVet is a leading out of hours service provider and due to maternity leave we have a vacancy for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Emergency Critical Care work. Based at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital in Leicestershire, we are a diploma-led multidiscipline referral centre and an associate practice for University of Nottingham Veterinary School.  Patients are referred from across the Midlands, with specialities offered in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology and Dermatology.  Dovecote also provides first opinion care to the local community.

The position involves working 6.45pm-8.15am every day on a 7 days on 14 days off basis.  Your main responsibilities will be to look after inpatients, OOH/emergency consultations and veterinary care.  You will be working in a supportive environment with a qualified RVN.

The practice is located in Castle Donington – a picturesque market town in Leicestershire, which is situated close to the national forest, major transport links (M1, A50) and close to East Midlands International Airport.

The hospital itself is modern, purpose-built, and well equipped, with advanced imaging and excellent operating facilities

The position would suit a graduate with a minimum of 1-2 years experience, or a more experienced vet with a keen interest in ECC.

Benefits include: a competitive salary, CPD allowance, professional membership fees paid including RCVS fees, access to a pension scheme and flexible benefits scheme offering a variety of staff discounts.
