Seadown Equine Clinic

Require an experienced Equine Vet for a permanent position that has arisen as a result a colleague moving to take up a position with an International Charity.

We have a 6/7 vet equine team supported by qualified VNs, giving a high-quality ambulatory and clinic-based service to a diverse horse population with loyal clients.

You will be working within a supportive team atmosphere, with the additional benefit of visiting Soft Tissue / Orthopaedic and Orthodontic surgeons. Flexible working patterns can be accommodated.

Clinic facilities / equipment include Treatment Rooms with on site stabling for in patients, knock down / Operating Facilities, Concrete Trot up, 35x20m Martin Collins arena, additional 15x15m hard surface arena, Video Endoscopes including Gastroscope, Sonosite / GE Logiq ultrasound machines, Digital Radiography, Shockwave, and full in-house Laboratory.

Dental instrumentation, power floats, and dental video scope ensure easy and complete dental care.

We also provide an Equine Ophthalmology referral service to surrounding practices.

OOHs rota is shared throughout the team with generous time off in lieu.
Certificate study is actively encouraged and supported, with 3/4 of our team having obtained Equine Certificates while with us and this position would suit someone with similar aspirations /qualifications.

Salary is commensurate with experience and certificates recognised; BEVA/RCVS fees; 6.6 weeks holiday inc Bank Holidays on a pro-rata basis.

The National Park and Solent ensure the local area offers excellent recreational opportunities particularly equestrian, cycling, sailing and walking.
