Veterinary Surgeon

Intake Veterinary Services require an assistant veterinary surgeon due to maternity.  We are in Hexham in the heart of beautiful rural Northumberland. 20 minutes from Newcastle.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated with the desire to learn and deliver excellent service to our clients.  We offer clinical freedom to work up own cases from presentation to end, to a high clinical standard, with a mixed varied caseload and no set drug list or targets.

• 4 vet 100% large animal practice. 50% farm work (dairy, beef, sheep and alpaca), 50% ambulatory equine work.
• All modern equipment: DR X ray, endoscopes, gastroscope, multiple ultrasound scanners, high end motorized dentistry equipment, racecourse work etc.
• 1:4 out of hours rota.
• Excellent support from partners. 
• CPD well funded and encouraged.
• Time off is a minimum of 31 days per year plus some bank holidays and an excellent Xmas rota.

• Farm and Equine interest required. No small animal work.
