Surgeon required in the North East of England and Scotland

CVS Advanced Clinical Services Network (ACSN)

We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery for a position with an exclusively surgery caseload.

As part of the recently established Advanced Clinical Services Network (ACSN), a team of peripatetic Advanced Practitioners within CVS, you will provide clinical, and some educational, services to host practices within your region.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to an Advanced Practitioner (AP) who would like to continue to develop their experience, knowledge and skills, and to commit themselves entirely to their preferred clinical discipline. Candidates very close to eligibility for AP status will be considered. Clinical supervision and mentorship will be provided by the Director of Peripatetic Services, and by the group's wider network of specialists.

The hours are expected to be flexible. The role is preferably full-time, but consideration will be given to part-time.

The role will also involve the development and growth of your own business area, the training and development of staff in your geographical area of operation, and guidance and influence of the improvement of clinical standards in the host practices. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and a good communicator.

A generous salary package and bonus scheme will be available, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone and enhanced CPD provision.

For more information, or an informal discussion, please contact Ben Walton, Director of Peripatetic Services: ben.walton@cvsvets.com.
