Senior Clinical Scholar (Resident) in Farm Animal Health and Welfare (with MVM)

Glasgow University seeks a competent veterinary graduate with farm animal experience and an interest in production animal welfare. The successful applicant will have progressive responsibilities including delivery of routine veterinary herd health services on both dairy and beef units, herd problem investigation visits and primary care of individual animals (on farm and referred). They will study towards either a European Diploma (College chosen can be discussed) or equivalent clinical post graduate qualification and complete a Masters in Veterinary Medicine through clinical research.
The research project will investigate assessment of production animal welfare of animals used for teaching. The residency is for a 4 year period (renewed annually, subject to satisfactory progress).
Initial stipend £19,815 (PAYE / TAX exempt) which rises to £21,405 by the fourth year plus £1,500 CPD allowance per annum.
