Do you want to be part of educating the next generation of vets?

Are you ready to join a busy pathology team within a world class university veterinary school?

Bristol Veterinary School is seeking to recruit a veterinary pathologist with a passion for teaching, scholarship and research. We are looking for someone with energy, creativity and commitment to drive a successful research career, and help our students develop the knowledge and skills that they need to flourish in the workplace. Experience of, and enthusiasm for, teaching is essential, in practice and/or academic settings, and you will have an existing track record in research
commensurate with career stage. You will be expected to develop and consolidate a relevant research programme complementary to the School’s research strategy and interfacing with the research strengths of the School’s research communities and the wider Faculty of Health Sciences.

You will also have the remit to spearhead the development of synergies between pre-clinical research and clinical pathology for enhancing collaborative research programmes across the School/University.

This is an appointment at Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor level on the University’s research and teaching academic track (Pathway 1).

You must hold a Veterinary Degree recognised by the RCVS that allows you to practise veterinary medicine within the UK, and board status in Veterinary Pathology (FRCPath, Dip ECVP, Dip ACVP or FACVSc).

Base salary scales are shown. Additionally, the appointee will be paid veterinary and ‘on-clinics’ allowances.

Informal enquiries can be made to:

Professor Richard Hammond, Head of Bristol Veterinary School Tel: 0117 928 9280/email: hos-svs@bristol.ac.uk
