Long Term Locum or Permanent Vet Needed for Aberdeenshire Based Practice

Our client is a mixed practice and our team consists of some vets who are totally small, some who only do farm/equine work and some who enjoy the variety of mixed.  Our small animal clinics are fully equipped with digital Xray, ultrasound, diagnostic equipment  etc and have a fantastic team of qualified and student vet nurses on hand to support the vets. 

On the farm side,  our cattle clients are mostly suckler herds and we are probably one of the few remaining practices to still have a few dairies.  We have a lot of sheep work with commercial flocks and some of the best pedigree breeders in the country among our clients.  Our vets range from over 30 years’ experience to new grads and provide a really good supportive environment.

They have have 3 sites. They are largely friendly  rural/fishing communities with a lot of scope for leisure pursuits such as walking, surfing, and sports. For a more exciting night life we are about 45 minutes from Aberdeen with a regular bus service. As the oil capital of Europe Aberdeen has excellent road rail and air links to the whole UK and overseas. 

They are a first opinion, mixed practice, mainly Beef , Sheep, Equine and small animal.  60 small:40 large.  No pigs, No dairy .

You will be covering all first opinion duties where required and have experience in all basic surgery and good consulting skills. The practice is offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a funded CPD package as well as 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years UK experience.
