Small Animal Vet

We are looking for a small animal vet to join our first opinion four vet practice in Leicestershire.

Teamwork is an essential skill here along with communication because we divide our time between two branches - we all like to make life as easy as possible because veterinary medicine is complicated enough as it is.

The nurses here are supportive, knowledgeable and approachable, generally keeping the vets in line. The vets themselves have good grounding in general practice and broad experience, good client relations tend to come easy, we have a big range of clientele and adaptability is key.

We have the usual items needed for a practice to run - digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy as well as all the fiddly bits like otoscopes, opthalmoscopes, a tonopen and in house lab diagnostics.

The rota is definitely survivable - 4.5 day week (three long days, a short day and a half day) with one in four Saturdays and our OOH is covered by Vets Now. There is flexibility week to week and we like to try and fit around any extracurricular activities you may have where possible.

A recent reshuffle due to retirement means we are needing someone keen, motivated and friendly to join our team. We are looking for a full time Vet, however, we would consider part time positions or the right new graduate.
