Veterinary Surgeon - Norfolk - Experienced and New Grad Needed!
Are you a dedicated Vet looking to work in a well known and respected veterinary practice in Norwich? You ask, what sets this role above and beyond the rest? The practice are a hugely popular client who are currently expanding and looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team and will never settle for second best.
This practice boast a good ultrasound for cardiac and abdominal work, digital X-ray. Endoscopy flexible and rigid. Microscopes, in house lab, laser therapy, electro- surgery plus an excellent nursing team who are very supportive and have skill set physiotherapy, and advanced Feline care.
You will work a 40 hour week with a 1 in four rota for weekend, having worked a week end there would be two days back either on individual or consecutive days.
There is a requirement to one night a week/ 2 when on call where you will take phone calls and take care of any inpatients. On call should not be arduous and it can be used for study too. Support is offered and available if required. You are expected to be flexible with hours around holidays so that those in the team can equally have time off and understand that as the practice are semi rural they will be part of a local community and to look to help that who community thrive.
The practice are looking for both a new grad plus a vet with 5+ years experience - there is the scope for at least 2 new staff members! Good communication skills compulsory!
There are 28 days paid holiday and 5 days for CPD, additional time can be negotiated for a certificate.
Accommodation is available for a settling in period- 3-4 months, this may be a self contained annex or a room dependant on the locum situation.
Pay will depend on experience and turnover and bonuses are available for the who team if we do well.
Packages to include pension and CPD allowance would start at £28,000 for a competent New Grad up to £60,000 for an experienced and competent surgeon. The practice are happy to fund certificates!
