Veterinary Surgeon - Part Time

I am seeking an experienced RCVS accredited veterinary surgeon to join my professional but friendly and fun team in Chelmsford!

I have been a qualified vet for 30 years and have been a JVP here since I opened the practice over 14 years ago. I am supported by a wonderful team including 4 vets, 5 RVNs, 3 receptionists, a practice manager and a practice administrator. We are hugely supportive of each other and take pride in the strong relationships we have built, and continue to build with our large and loyal client base.

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon who will be comfortable with some sole charge (weekend) as well as working within a team. You will be confident with all routine medical and surgical procedures and special interests would be welcomed. We do see a higher than average number of small furries so if that is an area of interest, we can certainly provide the caseload!

Our spacious surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including a dedicated operating theatre, digital x-ray and ultrasound machines.

I can consider candidates looking for approximately 20 - 30 hours a week. I am happy to be flexible with the shift requirements, but would be looking for a minimum of 2 days per week and participation in the weekend rota. There is no OOH responsibility with this role.
