Linnaeus Group, a forward-thinking partnership of highly respected veterinary practices across the UK are currently recruiting for a Veterinary Internship & Residency Lead to join our already very strong Clinical Education team and work closely with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer and wider Clinical Board.

The main purpose of this newly created position will be to support the development and expansion of quality leading Veterinary Internship & Residency Training Programmes within the Linnaeus Group.

The ideal person will be a Veterinary Surgeon and will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of Veterinary Residency Training Programmes within the Linnaeus group to attain accreditation by the EBVS, or US equivalent for any American training programmes and also supporting those already accredited
  • Liaise with the EVBS, or US equivalent and wider Mars Vet Heath Group to ensure quality training
  • To work with Internship Directors and CMO to explore, and implement if appropriate, postgraduate qualifications that could accompany internship training e.g. PG Certificate
  • To ensure credentials for each of the Residency Training Programmes are achievable within the required timeframe, and support the delivery of this with Programme Directors
  • To identify areas where expansion of EBVS training programmes is possible, and where new EBVS training programmes can be created, and support this implementation

The role will involve travel to attend practices & meetings – some of these will be international.
