Job Details

Veterinary Surgeon, Tier-3 Hospital - Nottingham

A progressive and supportive employer
This is an independently owned company with 3 Sites around the Nottingham area, running mainly from their state of the art, impressive tier-3 hospital and support by two smaller branches.

Offering unlimited CPD support, clear paths for professional and clinical progression, as well as regular appraisals, they have an excellent reputation as an employer.

Top of the agenda is the ambition to continue to increase the quality of care they can offer to Nottingham's pets by building further on the already high levels of experience and specialisation within the team.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in either working towards a certificate, currently working towards one or completed a certificate, who wants to match that interest with the appropriate caseload and career development opportunities.

State of the art facilities and equipment
This role is based in a hospital setting which has been built to an excellent specification and recently had £300k spent on improvements. Facilities and equipment include separate cat and dog facilities, in-house laboratories, surgical equipment for laparoscopic surgery, electro-surgery and complex orthopaedic and soft-tissue procedures, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced dental equipment and more.

What can you add to the team?
To apply for this role you must list client care as one of your priorities and have the desire to be at a practice which is about quality, not sales and numbers. You will not be given targets, just given the support to provide a gold standard of care to your clients.

You must also be keen to continue learning and progressing clinically through the work you do and through CPD.

The day to day work
This is a full time role and will be based across either 4.5 days per week with some weekend working. You will join a team of 9 experienced Vets and certificate holders in surgery, medicine, dermatology and oncology. Any interests will be welcomed but cardiology would be preferable.

Key Qualifications
To apply for this role you need to be registered with the RCVS and have the right to work in the UK.
You must also be a confident and competent small animal vet with the enthusiasm to continue to progress clinically.
