Full time / Part time Small Animal Vet

Want to work for a strong Independent practice where clinical decisions are not constrained by corporate ethos AND live in the beautiful New Forest National Park on the South Coast?

With one colleague taking up a University Internship and another off travelling we are looking for two Small Animal vets to assist and compliment strengths already within the team.

Seadown is part of the XL Vets group and is a large well-equipped Small Animal Hospital with two branch surgeries. A 12 SA vet FT equivalent with 18 VNs provide a supportive family atmosphere and a mentor scheme for colleagues with less experience. This allows a good and varied medical / surgical case load to be worked through to the highest standard.

We have an in-house Ophthalmology referral service and visiting Orthopaedic and Exotics consultants.

CPD is actively encouraged and funded with Certificate study / Advanced Practitioner status also being very well supported and holders financially recognised.

The position does require Out of Hours cover as part of our commitment to our loyal clients and there is 24/7 on-site VN support. To give the greatest flexibility to our team the OOHs weeknight / weekend rota is shared between 8-10 vets in different combinations, with generous time off in lieu of OOHs work.

The on-call rota contribution is negotiable for PT positions and flexible working patterns can be accommodated.

Salary commensurate with experience, OOHs bonus, RCVS / BSAVA fees, and 5 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays on a pro-rata basis.
