Job Details
I am working with a rather remarkable, independent practice based in Windsor who have been established for over 100 years - they have built a reputation for providing a friendly, caring and professional service coupled with state of the art facilities and equipment. They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team! The surgeries are equipped with modern facilities including an on-site high intensity x-ray machine, the most up-to-date laboratories, advanced ultrasound machine, and orthopaedic equipment. This really is just an all round great place to be... the fantastic team and the gold standard facilities along with their wonderful clients make this a set above the rest.
The Role:
- Full time
- 7 Vet team
- 1 in 15 on call (with the resident nurse taking initial calls from clients)
- One half day off each week if no night duties or weekends – 1pm finish
- Shared weekend rota meaning 1 in 6 – consults on Saturday and Sunday morning and on call until 5pm with a maximum of one night duty across the weekend (Monday and Friday off following duty weekend)
- They believe in the standard of care they provide and covering their own OOH is part of this – however, they offer great work/life balance with a minimum of the equivalent time worked off in lieu.
- 1: 3 weekend morning consults only at branch surgeries and time off in lieu
The Ideal Candidate:
You will be a member of the RCVS with some good post qualification experience in small animal practice. Some experience in with large animals would be helpful on occasion. Full driving license and transport needed as this will include some travel.
