Job Details
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Vet to join a practice based in the picturesque market town of Chesterfield (Easy access to the M1 for Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby) - this is a busy small animal practice who see a wide variety of cases! The practice boasts RCVS PSS accredited GP Status and an RVN training centre affiliated with Nottingham Trent University along with 2 certificate holders in Exotics and Dermatology.
The practice first opened in the early 90's and due to popularity, opened a further branch practice close by. The practice is based in a beautiful old building making this, a truly great place to work. They have all the usual up to date equipment, Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, endoscopy etc.
The Role:
39 hours per week with 1:6 full weekend (Saturday 9am till 3pm/Sunday 10am-12pm) and 1: 6 Saturday mornings(9am till 1pm). Our out of hours cover is provided by Vets Now but the practice have the facilities to look after inpatients. The role could suit a Vet with orthopaedics experience!
The Candidate:
You will have at least two years of experience with good surgical skills, be a good team player and fantastic communication skills.
Perks:
£30,000 to £50,000 per year, all VDS and RCVS fees are also covered. There is an allowance 6 weeks of holiday per year, plus bank holidays and a CPD allowance of 3 days per year (pro rata). Further study to the level of RCVS certificate can be funded and is strongly encouraged. Lots of cake and work outings - the team are very close knit so birthdays and special events don't go ignored!!
