FULL TIME VETERINARIAN POSITIONS IN 100% POULTRY PRACTICE BASED IN THE UK

Slate Hall is a specialist poultry practice consisting of 13 veterinarians with 4 offices in the UK and an extensive and varied client base working with both large integrated and smaller independent producers of broilers, broiler breeders, commercial layers, turkeys and ducks.

We are seeking to recruit three veterinarians to join our team in the following positions and areas as follows:

Veterinary Intern (West – to operate at our Atcham and Hereford Practices) x 1 & (East – to operate predominately at our Metheringham, Lincoln Practice but also to support our Rampton, Cambridge Practice) x1.  An eager and committed graduate veterinarian to join our successful one year internship programme.  Supporting clinical sampling, diagnostic activities and field work. The successful applicant will be mentored and tutored under the professional guidance of the Directors and Associates. An understanding of poultry disease management is desirable but not essential.

Associate Vet: (West – to operate at our Atcham and Hereford Practices) x 1.  A dynamic, enthusiastic and confident veterinarian with a good understanding of poultry diseases and management is essential as is prior experience in the poultry sector. The position involves daily contact with clients in which you need to have a pragmatic, practical approach and the ability to work well within a team of poultry veterinarians. A personal commitment to CPD is essential to the role and fully funded.

Suitable candidates should also be computer literate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in English is desirable. An RCVS recognised degree in veterinary medicine is essential.

Remuneration would be competitive, determined by the level of poultry experience and include a company car, and private health care.  Relocation allowance is also available in relation to the Associate Vet role if required. Salary progression would be rapid for candidates that perform at or above expectation in the role.
