Job Details

Our client in North Cornwall are looking for a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.

They are an independent, progressive, small animal practice with a good, varied caseload. The position available is for a full time vet to join their friendly and experienced team. They can provide a supportive environment for a recent graduate or there is scope for a more experienced vet to progress with their career and develop their own niche.

The team consists of 8.5 full time equivalent vets with an average experience of 13 years, 8 RVN's and 3 SVN's.

As an independent practice, they deliver their own out of hours cover which they believe provides clients with an excellent service and continuity of care.
The equally shared OOH rota is based on 1:9, to include weekends. You are not required to remain at the practice whilst you are on call, just attend calls and inpatient checks as necessary.

They have an extensive range of modern equipment including laparoscopy/endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray (including dental), diathermy and cutting edge anaesthetic monitors.  They are also able to offer laparoscopic spays and TTA/TTAR's in house. This role would encourage the nurturing and development of new techniques, as well as allowing advancement of existing skills.

Benefits include:
CPD is actively encouraged and a generous CPD allowance is provided.
You will also receive 34 days annual holiday
5 days CPD.

If you are interested in this position and would like to apply please send your CV to psouthgate@glvets.com or call Pip Southgate on 01291 645871.
