Mixed Vet

Due to recent expansion of a private independent practice, we are looking for 2 new vets to join our team!

1. Experience preferred, mixed practice role (60%SA, 25% Eq, 15% Farm including some TB testing). The ratio of large animal work can be flexible for the right candidate.
2. New graduate, initially practice based 100% small animal so we can provide the support you need to develop as a vet. Potential to progress into equine and/or farm work for the right candidate if interested.

We are a single-site independent, family run mixed practice in North
Nottinghamshire, set in 60 acres of picturesque farm land, with easy access to the Peak District, Nottingham, Sheffield and East Midlands airport. We have a friendly and down to earth client base.

Our recent expansion includes two well equipped small animal theatres, a dental suite with digital dental X-ray and an imaging room with new Doppler ultrasound scanner. We have a brand new video endoscope suitable for both small animal and equine patients. In-patient facilities are available for small animal, equine and farm patients. The equine side includes an imaging and treatment room, stocks and knockdown box, as well as a trot up and indoor arena for lameness assessment. We have visiting EDTs, equine physios and a referral surgeon for laser procedures.

We have a fantastic team of RVNs and we are a nurse training practice. You will be part of a friendly 9 vet team with low staff turnover, have clinical freedom but support as and when needed, with the flexibility to develop your areas of clinical interest.

Great work life balance with a maximum of one night on call per week with a half day to follow, one Saturday and one weekend on call in eight weeks.
