Head Veterinary Surgeon - Birmingham

I am recruiting for an award winning independent RCVS accredited Small Animal Veterinary Group based in the West Midlands, commutable from Birmingham City Centre.

The position is within an independent first opinion and referral Group of practices, their accredited Hospital is the main practice and they also have a surrounding 4 first opinion branch practices within a commutable distance of each other. We are searching for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon interested in taking a lead role within a branch practice. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Vet with their own ideas to develop a practice!

Across all sites they currently have a very strong and experienced team with 15 Vets. 4 of which are certificate holders in areas including: Cardiology, Dermatology, Soft tissue/Orthopedics and surgery. They have a fantastic support team in place with 24 RVN's on a ratio of 1:2 and a great client care team.

You will be required to work 4.5 days per week with a share of on call across the Vets. The on call works on a Rota of 1:10 nights on call with full support from their 24/7 nursing team. You would also be required to work 1:10 Saturdays only and 1:10 full weekends. After working the weekend you will receive a day back in lieu the following week. When on call you would have full support from the partners in the practice.

You will have your RCVS and VDS fee's paid. CPD is fully encouraged and supported with a budget in place up to certificate level. They do have regular free in-house CPD. You can enjoy time off with a 33 day holiday allowance.
