Job Details

Sittingbourne, Kent

Rachael and Grace are the partners of this small animal practice based in the up and coming town of Sittingbourne and they are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly veterinary surgeon to join the team!

In return, they offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • £1500 CPD allowance per annum
  • Enhanced annual leave of 28 days including bank holidays rising to 33 days including bank holidays after 2 full years’ service
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, BSAVA, VDS)
  • No OOHs
  • Exclusive company discounts including with High Street retailers and restaurants

The practice is purpose built and based inside a busy Pets at Home store. There is lots of free onsite parking and being based in Sittingbourne, you are perfectly located for direct transport links into central London but also to be able to make the most of the beautiful Kent countryside and south coast!

Rachael, who qualified in 2006, has over 10 years’ experience in small animal practices and hospitals. Sittingbourne’s other onsite partner is Grace, an experienced RVC veterinary surgeon, who has a keen interest in surgery. After working together for a number of years at another practice within the group, Rachael and Grace made the decision to open their own surgery last year.

You would be joining an extremely friendly and supportive team made up of 1 full time vet, 1 veterinary nurse, 1 student veterinary nurse, 2 veterinary care assistants and 2 receptionists. The practice also benefits from the expertise of an orthopaedic surgeon who regularly visits and who is happy to share his knowledge and experience of orthopaedic, soft tissue and ophthalmology surgery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious vet to join a welcoming team and develop their career as the practice grows.

Due to the experience within the existing team, the practice can consider applications from vets of all levels. This is a full time rota with a weekend rota and occasional sole charge.
