Our thriving small animal surgery in Basildon Pitsea is growing again and as a result we are recruiting for an additional vet to join us!

Due to our exciting recent expansion to become a 24/7 practice, we are looking for a vet to join us on a combined rota made up of 2 weeks of days, 1 week of nights and 1 week off (full details below).

We are conveniently based at the busy Old Market Retail Park just off the A13 and benefit from free on-site parking, easy access to the M25, 20 minutes from the seaside and direct trains into London and Southend.

You will find us to be a friendly, cheerful and progressive practice and the team consists of 6 vets, 6 RVNs, 1 practice manager, 1 finance coordinator and 7 receptionists. We have state of the art equipment including ultrasound and endoscope and we were the first 1 st opinion practice in Essex to get a CT scanner. Due to our 24/7 service offering, it means we retain all of our cases in house allowing you to see cases through to completion.

We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have built with our clients and patients and we are looking for personable vets who are passionate about providing an excellent service. You will be confident with routine surgery and medicine and have experience in emergency practice. When working overnight, you will be supported by two nurses and have a handover session with the vet team at the beginning and end of your shift.

The 4 week rolling rota consists of:

• 1 week of 8 am-5 pm
• 1 week of 11 am – 8 pm
• 1 week of nights
• 1 week off
