Small Animal Vet

We are an independent country small animal practice looking for an experienced vet to start working with us in Summer 2019.

Location:
Langport is the gateway to the SouthWest and less than one hour to Bristol, Bath and Exeter. Street is near Glastonbury and home to Clark’s village. We enjoy the best of the West without being isolated. We are surrounded by stunning views over open countryside and nestled amongst a strong artistic community; it is country living at its best.

Practice description
This was a lovely well established market town practice with a real culture to provide a good level of veterinary care. The premises were in good order and I was most impressed by the new operation theatre. The outside of the building was lovely and was very much a traditional vets. The premises were in a very tidy state and every area was immaculately clean.

I was most impressed how every member of the team had embraced the RCVS award process and they were so willing to help on the days with the many questions. In particular I would like to thank Sharon Franklin and Julian Cosser for their great help on the day of the award. There was a great family atmosphere to the practice.

We enjoy a long standing reputation as a professional caring and understanding clinic in the community. We have also been awarded GOOD for CLIENT SERVICE.

Facilities:
Digital radiography, ultrasound scanners, full dental suite including digital dental radiography, complete IDEXX integrated laboratory, TTA and AO orthopaedic equipment, Tonovet tonometer, recently refurbished premises. Experienced on call Veterinary Nurses.

Requirements:
We are looking for a vet who enjoys being a vet, values a good salary, is interested in engaging in all of the above opportunities, enjoys clinical discussions and mentoring a new graduate. An interest in studying for a certificate would be encouraged and funded.

12 weekends per year+ 2BH on call + 1 weekday night duty, full time 4 day week (3 day week is also an option). Occasional equine work is optional with no equine out of hours.
