Full or Part Time Veterinary Surgeon
Surgery Information / Job Description
Are you looking for more than just a ‘job’? Would you like to work somewhere your colleagues will feel like family, and clients will become old friends?
By joining Vets4Pets Bolton, you will of course enjoy a competitive salary, great benefits and a varied caseload, but it’s even more important to us that you’re happy at work, feeling valued and included.
You’ll become an important part of an established practice where looking after colleagues and clients is the top priority. Yes, the animals are important but we know that none of this would be possible (or as much fun) without the humans!
Just like in a real family, we all support one another, offering a hug whenever it’s needed. Everybody mucks in to get things done - even our vets clean floors and help close practice down so that we can all get out in time to enjoy our evenings. The perfect vets for us will want to be a part of all that.
Working here, you’ll have the pleasure of meeting some of the best clients in Bolton! We love to really get to know our clients and their pets, sharing jokes (and, again, hugs!), and they love knowing that we really do care about them, not just their money.
Our practice owner, Ruth Harrison, has over 30 years’ experience and leads a fabulous team of 3 other Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN a Practice Manager and 4 Receptionists. The team really supports Ruth in running a compassionate and efficient Vet practice.
We’re conveniently situated amongst various shops and restaurants, with Bolton City Centre just a ten minute drive away. The surgery is purpose-built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, K-Laser and ultrasound.
To be successful, you’ll share in our ethos of caring for all our colleagues, regardless of position. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in all routine surgical and clinical procedures. We are able to consider full or part time hours, depending on your circumstances and ideally you’ll be able to work 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 9 am - 12 pm. What’s more, you won’t be asked to work OOH!
To support the growth of the business, we are also looking to take on a new graduate. You’ll receive a wealth of support and exposure which will really help you to find your feet as a vet!
As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we offer:
- Excellent career opportunities and development due to our varied case load
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Contributory pension scheme
- Generous CPD and funding of certificates for the right candidate
- Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)
- Exclusive company discounts and rewards
If you share our passion for people as well as pets, we would love to hear from you.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
