The Institute of Infection and Global Health was established in 2010 to bring together leading infection and global health researchers from across the University. It integrates veterinary, medical and basic sciences to address major infectious diseases of humans and animals in the UK and globally and has built a track record of research excellence, embracing the “One Health” concept of disease control.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate, who possesses an excellent track record with potential to develop a world class research programme in veterinary epidemiology. The appointee should complement the Institute’s existing research programmes.

We would welcome applications from scientists working in any relevant area of veterinary epidemiology, including, but not restricted to, international animal health, endemic animal diseases, livestock production systems, antimicrobial resistance, surveillance and/or vector borne diseases. The post, based at Leahurst Campus, will involve undergraduate teaching, principally through the Institute of Veterinary Science.

Applications are invited from individuals with high quality outputs who wish to develop their careers to a higher level within our excellent research and teaching environment. You should have a PhD in a relevant research area. You will be expected to attract research funding, deliver high quality teaching and successfully supervise PhD students.
