Highcroft Veterinary Referrals is a multidisciplinary Referral Centre in the South West of England, with friendly clinicians, a great team spirit and a wide range of referral services including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Emergency and Critical Care, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurology and neurosurgery, Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Dermatology and Exotics. It is located in the south of Bristol – a dynamic and attractive city. The city is well connected to Cardiff, Exeter, Birmingham and London by road and rail and Bristol International Airport is just a 15 minute drive giving easy access to continental Europe and beyond. Beautiful countryside in Somerset, Wales, Devon and Cornwall is a short distance away.
We are looking to recruit at least one additional clinician in Small Animal Internal Medicine to work alongside our established team of two Internal Medicine Diploma holders. The referral team also includes specialists in oncology, emergency and critical care, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, neurology, exotics and dermatology. The team is also supported by specialised interns and an excellent specialised nursing team. The hospital is very well equipped with new facilities including a 1.5T MRI scanner, 16-slice CT scanner, top-of-the-range ultrasound, digital radiography, C-arm fluoroscopy, a brand new dedicated Storz endoscopy suite (1.4m gastroscope, 2m colonoscope, bronchoscope, flexible cystoscope as well as rigid scopes), EMG and, uniquely, cystomanometry & urethral profilometry.

Arrangements for study leave can be discussed for candidates needing to sit the ACVIM or ECVIM examinations.
The position is available immediately. This would suit someone looking for a full time position (4 days a week), but exact hours and working pattern can be agreed with some flexibility. For candidates who would consider a re-location, we can offer a relocation package.
