Our busy small animal practice based in Camborne, West Cornwall, opened in 2014 and is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team. We are based just minutes from the A30 bypass with onsite parking, and the local train station is within 2 miles of the practice. 

Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including orthopaedics, spinal, patient anaesthetic monitor, capnograph and fluid pumps. We are committed to bringing affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice.

We are looking for a skilled, and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to help us deliver our ambitions. By joining us, we will also encourage and help you develop your own skills and expertise to meet not only our client expectations but your own ambitions.

Practice owner, Raul Galvan, is originally from Seville, Spain and graduated in Cordoba. Raul Moved to the UK in 2007 and has worked as a Small Animals Vet ever since, now holding a certificate in Small Animal Surgery and with a special interest is orthopaedic surgery, he is already accepting referral work in our Truro Branch! Raul prides himself on being very supportive of his team, always encouraging them to undertake
further study and motivating them to progress in their careers. In his spare time, Raul is kept busy by his family of two toddlers and pet cat!

Person Specification

You will ideally be confident with routine surgery and medicine, and be comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibility. We are, however, able to consider new graduates needing support, as we have a strong existing clinical team. You must have good communication skills and enjoy building relationships with clients, the patients and the practice team. You will be part of a motivated team of 3 Vets, 4 Nurses and 4 Receptionists.

The role is open to both full and part time applicants, and will include a weekend rota, but no OOH.
