The Department of Livestock Health and Welfare, Institute of Veterinary Science, University of Liverpool seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join the Ruminant Health and Production Research Group. Current research areas include the role of the microbiome in health and disease, genomic aspects of dairy cow production diseases, neonatal health, lameness in ruminants and antimicrobial resistance.

This is a new full time post on the Teaching and Research (T&R) career path. The successful candidate will be expected to actively contribute to both research and teaching. Teaching will be in the broad field of Livestock Health Management with the bulk of teaching delivered via small group teaching within the Final Year clinical rotations although some teaching will also be delivered in earlier years of the BVSc course. There will be opportunities to participate in postgraduate education delivery.

Applications are invited from promising researchers who wish to develop their careers to a higher level within our excellent research and teaching environment. The candidate should have a CV with evidence of either potential or success in attracting external funding, high quality publications plus a PhD in a relevant research area. You will be expected to bring in external funding, develop and deliver high quality teaching and successfully supervise PhD students.
