The Animal Health Trust is a registered Charity dedicated to the improvement of animal health and welfare through veterinary research, together with high quality clinical services and a commitment to education. The Trust comprises of the Centre for Small Animal Studies, Centre for Equine Studies and Centre for Preventive Medicine.
The anaesthesia team is composed of six clinicians in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, two residents, two nurses and two interns. We provide a 24-hour anaesthesia, analgesia and critical care service in the small animal and equine hospitals at the AHT. We support specialist teams in dermatology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, small animal ophthalmology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and small animal and equine orthopaedics.
The successful candidate will be a graduated veterinarian and MRCVS who has either completed a one-year general internship or equivalent practice experience and has achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 or more. The role will provide training in small animal anaesthesia, analgesia and intensive care. The successful post holder will be required to assist with the clinical anaesthetic and intensive care caseload including participation in the out of hours rota. Involvement in clinical research would be encouraged. Accommodation is not included.
