Senior Lecturer/Reader in Livestock Vaccinology
Nr. Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
c. £55.3k - £63.6k per annum, inclusive of London Weighting
An opportunity is available for a Senior Lecturer/Reader in Livestock Vaccinology who will take a lead in multidisciplinary research and will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Department of Pathobiology and Population Sciences. The post holder will have an excellent track record of attracting external funding to support their research, which will complement interests of academics within the RVC’s Livestock Production and Health research programme, specifically in the Host Pathogen Interactions and Vaccinology theme (https://www.rvc.ac.uk/research/programmes/livestock-production-and-health/host-pathogen-interactions-and-vaccinology). This new post is part of the College’s initiative to establish a Centre of Vaccinology and Cell Therapy associated with a large capital development programme at the Hawkshead Campus. Research-active academics with interests in vaccinology and the underpinning sciences of immunology and/or pathogen biology of production animals are encouraged to apply.
For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Professor Ken Smith, Head of Department (ksmith@rvc.ac.uk) or Professor Jonathan Elliott, Vice Principal for Research and Innovation (jelliott@rvc.ac.uk).
We offer a generous reward package.
