Veterinary Surgeon - Full or Part Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Bury St Edmunds for a Veterinary Surgeon, on either a part time or full time basis.
You would be joining a team made up of 3 Vets, 3 Nurses, 2 VCA,
1 Receptionist and 1 trainee Nurse.
The Vet team consists of Vanessa and Ana who have 13+ years’ experience, whilst Maria has over 5 years’ experience. In the Nurse team Claire & Denise have 20+ years’ experience whilst Hana is an experienced veterinary receptionist with 10+ years’ experience.
The practice Partner, Ana Xavier, graduated from Lisbon University in 2004, and worked in Utrecht, Netherlands until moving to Britain in 2006. Her main areas of interest are endocrinology, orthopaedics and acupuncture. Vanessa has a special interest in small furries and has recently completed her General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.
Maria has a special interest in Internal Medicine.
The practice is very well equipped with capnography, digital x-ray, ultrasound, full state of the art IDEXX lab (haematology, biochemistry, in-house T4, fructosamine, bile acids, cortisol, PCV), blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximeter, v-gel and separate dog, cat and isolation
wards. The team see approx. 45% cats, 45% dogs and 10% small furries with approx. 45% insured clients. Orthopaedics (CCLR, FHNE, pinning), acupuncture and basic physiotherapy are all carried out in practice so we can guarantee exposure to a wide variety of cases.
