The Westover Veterinary Centre has been in existence since approximately 1890 and has grown from a one man band operating out of his house to a business of 33 people providing high quality and friendly veterinary medicine. In 1994 the Partnership split into small and large animal practices, allowing the vets to specialise and develop knowledge and skills in their specialist areas. Westover incorporated in 2014. The Company is registered with, and accredited by, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Our small animal practice operates from North Walsham, with four Veterinary Surgeons supported by a team of veterinary nurses and admin staff. We offer a high standard of general veterinary practice. We are the main providers of small animal veterinary services in this part of North Norfolk. This practice is a registered teaching practice.

Our large animal department moved into a new site in Hainford on the 8th February 2010 and has now got the space and facilities to both operate on and hospitalise, horses, cattle, sheep, goats or camelids. We have six large animal veterinary surgeons. We are the main providers of large animal veterinary services across North Norfolk.

We use specialist laboratories to give us a full back up to aid diagnosis of the more difficult cases and have our own laboratory facilities and electronic diagnostic equipment on site for more routine diagnosis. We are happy to provide second opinion and supporting services to neighbouring practices.

Westover has grown by providing quality, timely and cost effective customer services. As a result, an additional Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon is required.

The Company is managed by four Owner Directors who are practising Veterinary Surgeons and their General Manager who oversees the business and its administration. Each Practice is led by two Directors with one Director taking overall responsibility for the Clinical Governance of the Company.
