Equine Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an experienced equine vet with a particular interest and understanding of:

• Routine ambulatory work
• Competition horse work
• Referral case management

With a minimum of 3 years’ experience, we need a dynamic team player, who possesses the ambition and enthusiasm to contribute to our reputation. Mobile digital imaging equipment is available for working up ambulatory cases and you will be supported by an up-to-date referral  hospital with MRI, Scintigraphy and CT. With extensive opportunities to work up your own case load, you will have the back-up of our expert hospital teams – diploma holders, certified surgeons and residents - and our dedicated, qualified nursing staff.

Out of hours is shared on a 1-in-5 rota working as a team with the duty surgeon, intern and nurse. A competitive package is available for the right candidate, including: car, CPD allowance, subscriptions paid and the opportunity of funding for further post-graduate qualifications.

Situated in the rural East Midlands, Oakham is a pleasant market town with excellent road and rail connections.
