Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.

We require a clinical veterinarian to join our farm animal practice team from 1 June 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter to contribute fully to all aspects of farm animal clinical work.

Participation in the practical and theoretical instruction of veterinary students will be part of the role. You will benefit from the wide-ranging facilities within the University Hospital, including a strong team of support staff.

You should be a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or hold a degree qualifying you for membership, and have at least two years' experience in clinical practice.

The equipment and facilities expected in a dedicated farm animal practice and referral centre are provided. There are support structures for  professional development which include library and computing facilities, a seminar programme for post-graduate clinical and research staff, and structured supervision of the interns within the farm animal group.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
