Clifton Vets4Pets

Surgery Information / Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our friendly and experienced team in Clifton, Nottingham! Located very near to Nottingham City Centre, we are close to the M1, A50, A52 and M42 and directly adjacent to a tram stop.

The bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including standard and dental Digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental, blood pressure monitoring and infusion pumps. By joining us, you’ll become part of a happy and welcoming team of 11. We have a mixture of experience levels, many of whom have been with the practice since the day it opened in 2012. You’ll enjoy an exciting and varied caseload with the opportunity to fully work up cases.

Our practice partner, Pippa, graduated in 1999 and has practiced as a small animal vet in Nottingham since 2003, finally taking on her own practice with Vets4Pets in March 2014. Sarah is 6 years graduated and has been with us since August 2014. We are a nurse training practice and have 2 experienced, qualified nurses, two trainee nurses and 4 receptionists.

Person Specification

Our new Vet will ideally work full time (40 hours a week), however we are willing to consider part time for the right candidate. Hours will include 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and no OOH. We encourage good case development both medically and surgically and support CPD including additional certificates. If you have at least one year’s experience, this would be advantageous, however we are happy to support a quick-to-learn new graduate with a great work ethic. A more experienced vet looking to specialise would be strongly supported.

Our ethos is about enjoying your job whilst delivering a high standard of care – with this in mind team outings are a feature of practice life. We regularly socialise together on funded team nights out!

Benefits

As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care we offer a supportive and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities, an excellent package and great benefits that include; competitive salary, CPD allowance, Pension and exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, and the Vet Group.

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
