The Institute of Infection and Global Health was established in 2010 to bring together leading infection and global health researchers from across the University. It integrates veterinary, medical and basic sciences to address major infectious diseases of humans and animals in the UK and globally and has built a track record of research excellence, embracing the “One Health” concept of disease control.

We are seeking an outstanding scientist to lead a world class research programme in the area of the veterinary epidemiology.

We are willing to appoint at Senior Lecturer, Reader or Chair level commensurate with experience. You should complement the Institute’s existing research programmes. We would welcome applications from scientists working in any relevant area of veterinary epidemiology, including, but not restricted to, international animal health, endemic animal diseases, livestock production systems, antimicrobial resistance, surveillance and/or vector borne diseases. The post, based at Leahurst Campus, will involve undergraduate teaching, principally through the Institute of Veterinary Science.

You will have an outstanding CV with evidence of success in attracting a substantial and sustained programme of external funding and a track record of high quality publications.
