Recent Graduate Intern/ Mentored Post – Small Animal

Exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join the small animal team at Towcester Veterinary Centre; a large independent mixed practice in rural Northamptonshire. The practice has 26 dedicated vets and offers services from 4 locations, a BVHA/RCVS Tier 3 Hospital, 2 small animal clinics, 2 dedicated equine clinics, and an ambulatory farm department.

Our small animal  team includes 4 certificate holders, 2 in surgery, 2 in medicine with another studying towards the medicine certificate. The team is supported by a group of experienced GP’s who all work in a close knit team. Our extensive facilities include endoscopy, laparoscopy, full orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical equipment, ultrasound, in-house lab and digital radiography. Our surgeons take surgical referrals from other practices. We take great pride in providing our own OOH service on a 1-in-6 rota with night nurses on-site.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and will be mentored by our most experienced clinicians; working at our hospital in Towcester and our Weedon and Paulerspury clinics. Initially, you will shadow the on call vet and in time be first on call with support. The remuneration package includes encouraged and funded CPD, private healthcare and RCVS membership.
