Job Details

Join the Medivet family and lead our friendly, well-established small animal practice in the historic market town Boston. The beautiful east coast is easily accessible from Boston and can be reached in just 40 minutes. The practice is currently undergoing a full refurbishment for completion in February 2019. This brand new clinic will have separate dog and cat waiting areas and will hold a cat friendly clinic status.

The role is full time working 4 days per week and shared weekend rota, giving you excellent work-life balance.

The practice comes well equipped with digital X-ray, ECG, in-house laboratory, ultrasound facilities and is located in a spacious building which has plenty of character!

This is a great opportunity to work alongside a long standing team of devoted knowledgeable vets and a large team of enthusiastic experienced nurses and reception staff. With access to Medivet’s multi-disciplinary certificate holders and advanced imaging equipment, progression to, or support of an existing certificate qualification would be actively encouraged. Boston is a busy practice with a varied caseload.

The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, a client-oriented approach with excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically with the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The ideal candidate will be a certificate holder however this is not essential.

Salary and benefits:

  • Package up to 75k depending on experience, including:
  • Accommodation or £6,600 accommodation allowance
  • Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Fantastic career progression and partnership opportunities
