Cambridge Equine Hospital is looking for a recently graduated veterinarian who is passionate about the equine industry, has good interpersonal skills, and would like to learn in a supportive environment.

Cambridge Equine Hospital is a ten-veterinarian practice with a modern, purpose-built facility featuring a fully equipped surgical suite. Our large client base predominantly consists of Thoroughbred stud and racetrack practice, with an expanding pleasure and sport horse clientele. We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to practice with mentorship and support.

The successful applicant will receive experience in the fields of surgery, anaesthesia, medicine, and diagnostic imaging (radiology, ultrasonography, and nuclear medicine). The intern will be involved in the diagnosis and treatment of hospital cases as well as field, and stud practice, and supervised after-hours work.

The appointee will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and a focus on delivering the highest standard of practice. We have a great team of vets, including a registered specialist in equine surgery, who enjoy working in a collaborative fashion.

Prerequisites: Veterinary degree able to be registered in New Zealand, letter of intent, resume/CV, 3 letters of reference, New Zealand driver’s licence.
